Small Business Tech Tip #1: Wix Templates

You might be wondering, “Caroline, you’re a WordPress web designer and developer. Why are you telling me about Wix?”

Why Wix?

It’s true, I primarily build and fix WordPress websites, but I also work with Wix sites and I’m sharing Wix tips today because I’m all about providing solutions and delivering value. Today’s Small Business on a Budget Tip is about saving money and it happens to involve Wix and I’m super excited to share it!

Custom websites are not cheap. A truly custom website that is tailored to your brand, designed with excellent user experience (UX) in mind, with features to meet the needs of your business and achieve your business goals, with messaging that is SEO-optimized and carefully-crafted to represent your brand and drive conversions, takes time, thoughtfulness, and careful attention to detail. This costs $.

Affordable can be beautiful

If you’re a small businesses starting out, a custom website may be out of your budget, or for certain businesses may simply be overkill. Is your only option a cheap, cookie-cutter website? The good news is, no! I recently discovered Blog Pixie and her Wix templates are AMAZING! I’m pretty obsessed. Wix is the easiest builder I have worked with and my favorite feature is how easily you can customize the mobile view. I wish it were that easy in WP or Squarespace or Zoho Sites. One of the biggest concerns people have with Wix is how it performs SEO-wise. My Wix client, Milk Diva, always ranks top 3 in local search results, so I think her SEO is working just fine for her. 🙂

Anyways, check out blogpixie.com. Her designs are gorgeous–and AFFORDABLE! And no, I’m not being sponsored by her. She doesn’t even know me. I am just happy to pass along helpful information.
